Made on a backstrap loom by our artisan partners, the Xpu-Ha Artisan Kimono features both brocade and drawn thread techniques—methods passed through generations of skilled women weavers. Every thread is placed by hand, creating a unique texture that feels both elegant and intentional.
Its silhouette is cropped in the front and elongated in the back, offering graceful movement and a flattering, effortless shape. Layer it with white pants and a tank for everyday sophistication, throw it over a swimsuit for a beachside escape, or pair it with a slip dress and heels for a sculptural, evening-ready look.
About your piece
Our XPU-HA kimono is the result of collaboration with a talented group of 35 master weavers from San Juan Cancuc, a Tzeltal-speaking community located in the highlands of Chiapas mountains. Our artisans sustainably handcraft each piece without the use of electricity, pesticides or chemicals.

I’ve had my Xpu-Ha kimono for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly obsessed. I’ve worn it over a simple tank and jeans for running errands or as a light layer over a dress for dinner. The fabric is soft but has a nice weight to it, so it drapes beautifully without feeling flimsy. You can tell it’s handmade with care. It’s quickly become my go-to piece for any occasion!
