Our XPU-HA kimono is handwoven on a backstrap loom using the drawn thread and brocade techniques, which gives the garment its one-of-a-kind look. The breathable and sustainable materials used, combined with its timeless design, make it versatile enough to be worn over a nice top and jeans or layered over swimwear.
About your piece
Our XPU-HA kimono is the result of collaboration with a talented group of 35 master weavers from San Juan Cancuc, a Tzeltal-speaking community located in the highlands of Chiapas mountains. Our artisans sustainably handcraft each piece without the use of electricity, pesticides or chemicals.

I’ve had my Xpu-Ha kimono for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly obsessed. I’ve worn it over a simple tank and jeans for running errands or as a light layer over a dress for dinner. The fabric is soft but has a nice weight to it, so it drapes beautifully without feeling flimsy. You can tell it’s handmade with care. It’s quickly become my go-to piece for any occasion!
